SUE MORTON
Fairfield

Sue MORTON, age 79, of Fairfield, passed away Thursday, June 10, 2021, at the Jefferson County Health Center.

There will be a private family service at a later date.

Memorials may be made to Hospice Compassus or Charity of choice and mailed to Leland MORTON, 1014 Sunny Lane, Fairfield, IA 52556.

Sue was born December 23, 1941, in Columbus, IN, to Bernard "Dick" and Margaret (CHRISTIAN) ROBERTSON. She met her husband, Leland "Lee MORTON in Chicago and later married on January 14, 1962. This coming January they would have been married 60 years.

Sue was a legal secretary for the County Attorney for 18 years. She was a member of the VFW and the Elks. She enjoyed reading, playing games and knitting. After retirement she and Lee would spent the winters in Florida. Most important to her was spending time with kids, grandkids and great-grandkids.

Sue will be missed by her husband, Lee MORTON of Fairfield; two sons, Gregg (LuAnn) MORTON of Kill Devil Hills, NC, and Chris (Lynette) MORTON of Cedar Rapids; four grandchildren, Jessica MORTON, Matthew WELCHER, Elizabeth MORTON and Nicholas MORTON; two great-grandchildren, Brayden BUCHER and Oaklynn BUCHER; and one brother, Jeff ROBERTSON of Columbus, IN.

Sue was preceded in death by her parents, Dick and Margaret; son, Curtis MORTON; grandson, Patrick MORTON; one brother, Jimmy ROBERTSON; and sister, Linda ROBERTSON.
