Esther Lurena Lamborn, 84, of Farmington, died Monday, June 27, 2005, at Good Samaritan Home in Keosauqua.

The funeral is scheduled at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Hofbauer-Schmitz-Lynk Funeral Home in Farmington, with the Rev. Tom Smithson officiating. Burial will be in Greenglade Cemetery in Farmington.

Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the family present from 6-8 p.m.

Memorials may be made to Farmington United Methodist Church or Greenglade Cemetery Association.

Mrs. Lamborn was born Feb. 24, 1921, in Bonaparte, the daughter of James Earl and Mary Totten Troutman. She married Sam Lamborn Sept. 17, 1939, in Memphis, Mo.

She was a member of Farmington United Methodist Church. She was a bookkeeper at Troutman Sale Barn in Bonaparte and Home lumber in Donnellson. She also worked for Sheaffer Pen. Co. She owned and operated E&J Ceramics for many years.

Survivors include one son, Bill Lamborn and wife Janey of Donnellson; four daughters, Linda Jacobsmeier and husband Mike of Farmington, Nancy Lowe and husband Richard of Keosauqua, Christie Anderson and husband Kent of Indianola and Jan Loges and husband Todd of Farmington; three sisters, Pauline Steeples of Orlando, Fla., Wanda Adams of Burlington and Mary Davis of St. Michael, Minn.; 16 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and three brothers, Edgar, Elmer and Joe.
