Death from Paralysis.

Mrs. Ann CULLER died in this city Tuesday morning. She was stricken with paralysis about a month ago, and never rallied from its effects. Mrs. CULLER was seventy-eight years of age. She had resided in this city perhaps seven years, while the greater portion of her life was spent in Round Prairie township. Those who have known her say that she was an excellent woman in all the relations of life and speak of her in the highest terms. Three children survive her, S. V. CULLER of this city, Joseph, who lives in Mt. Pleasant, and Henderson, whose home is in Missouri. All of them are here at this time. Funeral services will be held at the home this afternoon at 2 o'clock, conducted by Rev. I. O. Kemble.

OBITUARY.

Editors Ledger:--Mrs. Anna McCORMICK CULLER, who died in this city December 26th, from paralysis, was born in Stark county, O., September 21st, 1821. Her father, George McCORMICK, was a brother of Cyrus H. McCORMICK, the inventor of the reaping machine. In Carroll county, Ind., April 25th, 1843, she was married to Michael CULLER, with whom she removed to Illinois in 1855 and to Round Prairie township, this county, two years later. They were the parents of three sons, all of whom are living and were present at the burial of their mother--M. J., whose home is at Mt. Pleasant, Samuel V. of this city, and H. S. of Memphis, Mo. The husband died near Glasgow in 1861. Mrs. CULLER was for many years a member of the Methodist Episcopal church and was an excellent, christian woman. In that portion of the county where so much of her life was spent she was very popular with young and old alike and her home was the scene of many a pleasant social gathering. Many old friends will join with members of the family in mourning her death. The remains were interred in this city Wednesday, Rev. I. O. Kemble conducting the funeral services.
