Keith CREW Dies At 68

Keith A. CREW, 68, 306 E. Lowe, died Friday at 3:35 p.m. at the Park View Care Center where he had been a patient since Nov. 17, 1972.

Services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Raymond Funeral Home with the Rev. Wayne Bartruff officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

CREW, a lifetime resident of Fairfield, was employed at the Dexter Co. for 34 years before his retirement. He was a member of the United Methodist Church.

CREW was born Feb. 16, 1905 (sic - 1906) in Jefferson County, the sonof Edward G. and Etta ABRAHAM CREW. He was married Nov. 5, 1927 to Frances Dorothy OLSON, who died Dec. 25, 1933.

On June 8, 1935, he was married to Velma Ruth RANSON. she (sic) preceded her husband in death August 16, 1968.

CREW is survived by three sons: Leland K. and Bruce E., both of Fairfield, and James Clair, Owings Mills, Md. Also surviving are eight grandchildren and the following brothers and sisters:

Audubon CREW, Fairfield; Van CREW, Mount Pleasant; Kenneth CREW, Corydon; Mrs. James JOHNSON, Mount Pleasant; Mrs. Jim SEARS and Mrs. Ralph MORRIS, both of Corydon; and Mrs. Harold CLINE, Weldon.

One granddaughter and one sister are deceased.

Note: Buried in Lot 2nd.272, with both of his wives. His obituary notes a birth year of 1905, which is incorrect. His gravestone has his birth year as 1906, as does the Social Security Death Index.
