SUCCUMBS TO LONG ILLNESS

STOCKPORT, Ia., Dec. 14--John CRAWFORD, 64, passed away last night at his farm home northwest of Stockport after an illness of three years. A well-known farmer, CRAWFORD had resided on the same farm for the past 43 years.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Catcott funeral home in Birmingham with the Rev. Lacy Thompson in charge. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery, Fairfield.

CRAWFORD was born on a farm near Fairfield, November 20, 1885. He was the son of John and Mary McWILLIAMS CRAWFORD. Survivors include his widow, Margaret; one daughter, Mrs. Lola UNKRICH, Selma; one son, Lyle CRAWFORD, Birmingham and three grandchildren.

Other survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Lela MORGAN, Downing, Mo., and Mrs. Florence FOSTER, Gorin, Mo.; one brother, Aven CRAWFORD, Stockport; three step-brothers, N. E. CRAWFORD and R. V. CRAWFORD, Stockport; Irvin CRAWFORD, Florida and two step-sisters, Mrs. Ray WEBBER and Mrs. Edna MORRIS, both of Stockport. One brother preceded him in death.

He was a member of the Methodist church. The body is at the Catcott funeral home.
