At Mt. Pleasant Where He Had Been Ill For the Past Three YearsJohn CRAWFORD, a well known colored man of this city, passed away this morning at 2 o'clock at the state hospital in Mt. Pleasant, where he had been ill for the past three years (note: in Henry Co., IA). He was ill in a hospital in Iowa City for a year prior to this.
The body will be brought to this city this afternoon and will be taken to the Hoskins funeral home pending funeral arrangements.
Mrs. CRAWFORD, who was formerly Miss Elizabeth CICLE of this city, will come tonight from Iowa City, where the family removed at the time of his illness. A little daughter has preceded him in death. He leaves four children Elizabeth CRAWFORD of Cedar Rapids, a graduate of the Fairfield high school, and George of California, Ralph of Philadelphia, Pa., and Charles of Iowa City.
Mr. CRAWFORD was an employee of the Iowa Malleable Iron Works for a number of years.

Tomorrow From Hoskins Funeral Home; Burial To be At EvergreenFuneral services for John CRAWFORD, who died at Mt. Pleasant yesterday morning, will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2 oclock from the Hoskins funeral home. Rev. Fred G. Crown of the Baptist church will officiate. Burial will be made in Evergreen cemetery.
Mr. CRAWFORD would have been 54 years old March 15 and he had resided in this city for a number of years. He was a member of the Baptist church.
Mrs. CRAWFORD and son Charles of Iowa City and her daughter Miss Elizabeth CRAWFORD of Cedar Rapids came last night, called here by his death.
