ELLA CRAIL PASSED AWAY LAST NIGHT
Well known in Fairfield; had spent her entire life here

Mrs. Ella CRAIL, 82, widow of the late Captain B. F. CRAIL, passed away at 7:30 p.m. Monday. Death came at the home of Mrs. E. M. West, 306 East Madison street, where she had made her home for the past several years.

Mrs. CRAIL was well known in this community, having been a life long resident of Fairfield. She had been in failing health for the past several years.

She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Anna ALSTON and Mrs. Ada WICKENS, both of Los Angeles, Cal. She is also survived by two nieces here in Fairfield, Mrs. Fred RAINES and Mrs. William CUPP.

The body was taken to the Pedrick Funeral Home in Douds where funeral arrangements are pending. Mrs. Clarence PEDRICK is a great niece.

Funeral Services For Mrs. Ella CRAIL Thursday Afternoon

Funeral services for Mrs. Ella R. CRAIL, widow of the late Captain B. F. CRAIL, will be held Thursday afternoon at 2:30 p.m., at the Weston Behner Funeral Home.

Mrs. CRAIL passed away Monday evening at the home of Mrs. E. M. West, 306 East Madison street, where she had made her home for the past several yeras.

She was well known in this community, having been a life long resident of Fairfield. She had been in failing health for the past several years.

...--Mr. and Mrs. W. C. GOODSON of Kirksville, Mo., and Mr. and Mrs. Earl SCOTT of Birmingham were in the city yesterday to attend the funeral services of the late Mrs. Ella CRAIL, held at the Weston Behner funeral home 203 South Main St. Mrs. CRAIL was an aunt of Mrs. GOODSON and Mr. SCOTT.

OBITUARY

MRS. ELLA R. CRAIL

Mrs. Ella R. CRAIL daughter of George and Agnes RICHARDSON was born at Fairfield, Iowa and passed away Monday, Sept. 7, 1942 at the age of 82 years and 19 days.

She was of a family of 13 children, all have preceded her except Mrs. Anna ALSTON and Mrs. Ada Mae WICKENS of Los Angeles, Calif. who survive her and mourn her loss also several nieces and nephews.

In 1895 she was united in marriage to Capt. B. F. CRAIL who has preceded her in death. To them was born one daughter Mary Helen, who passed away January 1923.

Mrs. CRAIL was a member of the First Christian church of Fairfield. She had been an invalid for the past 7 years. To know Mrs. CRAIL was to love her. In sickness she was patient, in trial hopeful and submissive to her Master's will. She had done what she could and like a weary pilgrim she had made it home at last.

Funeral services were held Thursday, Sept. 10, 1942 at 2:30 in the Behner funeral home in Fairfield, conducted by the Rev. S. P. Williamson of the Christian church.

The pallbearers were: Fred Johnson, William Stever, Fred RAINS, William CUPP, Norvall Switzer, Fred Mathers.

Mrs. Norvall Switzer and Mrs. William Stever sand "The Lord is My Shepherd" and "The Beautiful Garden of Prayer" accompanist Miss Reva Patten.

The body was laid to rest beside her husband Capt. B. F. CRAIL and daughter Mary Helen in the Evergreen cemetery.

Clarence PEDRICK of Douds, Iowa had charge of the service.
