Page 2, Column 4WILLIAM S. COX DIED AT HIS HOME EARLY THIS MORNING
William S. COX passed away at six o'clock this morning at his home in the College Addition following an illness of several weeks duration. Mr. COX was ill at the Jefferson County Hospital for some time and before he had recovered from that he suffered an attack of appendicitis which caused his death.
Mr. COX has for a number of years been a drayman in the city. He was 39 years of age at the time of his death. He is survived by his wife and three children Francis, age 11, Velma age 7, and Dale age 3 years. He also leaves his father, Daniel COX, of this city, and a brother, Albert COX, of Ottumwa.
Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at four o'clock from the home in charge of Rev. Butler. Interment will be made in Evergreen cemetery.
