Rites Tuesday For Mrs. COX

Mrs. Richard S. COX, 800 W. Taylor, died at 11:30 a.m. Sunday at the Jefferson County Hospital. She had been in failing health the past year and seriously ill the past three months.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the first Lutheran Church with the Rev. Hoyt Whitebread officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. The casket will be taken from the Behner Funeral Home to the church at 1 p.m.

Mrs. Twyla COX, 38, daughter of Harold and Nora JACOBSON NELSON, was born Aug. 3, 1931, in Fairfield. She was married to Richard S. COX Jan. 1, 1953, at Mount Pleasant.

She was a member of the First Lutheran Church and was a doctor's assistant in the office of Dr. John Castell for a number of year (sic).

She is survived by her husband; three children, Reagen, Timothy and Renee, all at home; her mother, Mrs. Nora NELSON, Mount Pleasant; three sisters, Mrs. Bill RICHARDSON, Burlington; Mrs. Bob DAMERON, New London; Mrs. Richard WICK, Burlington.

She was preceded in death by her father, one brother and a son.

Memorial Fund For Mrs. COX

A memorial fund has been established in memory of Mrs. Richard COX, Fairfield, who died Sunday at the Jefferson County Hospital following a year's illness.

Those wishing to contribute may leave their donation at the Chamber of Commerce Office, Ed and Jim's Shell Station or the Broadway Shell Station.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon.
