Services for Danny J. COX, a former Farifield resident, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. Edward Parker officiating. Military rites will be conducted in Evergreen Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. this evening at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to books on astronomy at the Fairfield Library.
COX died at 8 a.m. Friday at his home in Rockwell City. His death was ruled as suicide.
Danny J. COX, 36, was born June 29, 1948, in Jefferson County. He was the son of Ray and Lottie WINFREY COX. He was employed as a security officer at the Medium Security Facility in Rockwell City. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War (sic - Vietnam Conflict).
Survivors include four daughters and two sons: Robbin, Des Moines; Toni, Alycia and Melene all of Norman, Okla.; and Danny Ray and Darren both of Lawton, Okla.
Other survivors are his parents who reside in New London; two sisters, Sharyn TARRENCE and Teresa MOE, Mount Pleasant; and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Dewey COX, Eldon.
