ITEMS IN BRIEF.

... The remains of the infant child of Dr. and Mrs. C. C. COTTLE, which died at Marshalltown last Friday, was brought to this city for interment on Saturday. Brief services were held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. GILHAM, and the body was deposited in the Eevergreen (sic) cemetery Sunday afternoon. It was about two weeks old. Mrs. GILHAM accompanied her son to Fairfield on his sad journey. ...

Note: Buried in Lot Old.P.300. Mrs. GILHAM is the mother of Dr. Cassius C. COTTLE, she having lost her first husband William W. COTTLE in 1880 and remarrying to Calvit GILHAM. Cassius' wife was Hattie May CHURCH. Margaret was 17 days old, born November 22nd, and died December 9th, 1892.
