Return COTTLE Ashes For Interment Here

The ashes of Dr. Cassius Clay COTTLE, former well-known resident of Fairfield who died in California recently, will be returned here for interment.

Short services will be held at the family lot in Evergreen cemetery Friday afternoon at 2 p.m. Rev. L. L. Weis will officiate.

The remains will be accompanied to Fairfield by Dr. COTTLE's daughter, Mrs. William GIBBONS.

Dr. COTTLE was born at Glasgow in Jefferson county, and when 10 years of age moved to Fairfield with his parents. He attended Parsons college with the class of 1886, and later the Rush Medical college at Chicago.

He had made his home in California for many years after he had practiced medicine in Marshalltown, Iowa, for some time.

NOTICE OF THE APPOINTMENT OF EXECUTOR

State of Iowa,
Jefferson County, ss.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the undersigned has been duly appointed and qualified as Executor of the estate of Cassius C. COTTLE deceased, late of Los Angeles County, California. All persons indebted to said estate are requested to make immediate payment, and those having claims against the same will present them, duly authenticated, to the undersigned for allowance, and file in the office of the Clerk of the District court.

Dated June 30, 1949.
