MIRANDA Rites Will Be Tuesday

BIRMINGHAM--Mrs. Charles MIRANDA, 87, Birmingham, died at 10:35 p.m. Friday at the Jefferson Square Manor in Ottumwa where she had been a patient since April, 1965 (note: in Wapello Co., IA).

Last rites will be held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield with the Rev. Earnest Switzer in charge. Burial will be in the Evergreen cemetery.

Effie MIRANDA was born Dec. 18, 1878, in Jefferson County, the daughter of William and Eliza GIBBONS McMULLEN. She was reared and educated in Jefferson County.

On Nov. 1, 1900, she was married to Thomas E. COPPOCK. The wedding took place in Jefferson County. On Feb. 9, 1911. She was married to Charles MIRANDA in Davenport. Both husbands are deceased. She was also preceded in death by one son, Wesley COPPOCK, three brothers and three sisters.

She is survived by one granddaughter, Mrs. Wayne HEUER, West Burlington; two great-granddaughters and several nieces and nephews.
