MRS B. E. COPELAND DIED IN DAVENPORT

Jay COPELAND has received word of the death of his sister-in-law, Mrs. B. E. COPELAND, which occurred in Davenport (note: in Scott Co., IA). Mrs. COPELAND was a former resident of this city and will be remembered here as Miss Etta SMITH. The body will be brought here for burial. No arrangements for the funeral have been made.

COPELAND FUNERAL TO BE HELD FRIDAY

The remains of Mrs. B. E. COPELAND, who passed away, Tuesday, at her home in Davenport, was brought to this city this morning. The funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at two thirty at the Christian chuch (sic), in charge of Rev. R. H. Polly, and interment will be in Evergreen cemetery.

Etta SMITH COPELAND was born at Libertyville, Iowa, July 26th, 1882. She attended school at that place and grew to young womanhood there. On Februry (sic) 10, 1901 she was united in marriage to B. E. COPELAND, who survives her. In October 1917, she moved with her husband to Davenport, from Colfax, where they had made their home for some time.

Besides her husband she is survived by her mother, Mrs. Mary SMITH, her sister, Mrs. W. TULLIS, and one brother, Dwen SMITH, all of Davenport.
