Page Four, Column 4Former Local Woman Dies At Davenport
Word has been received here of the death of a former Fairfield resident who died Sunday evening at Davenport (note: in Scott Co., IA).
She is Mrs. Jennie COOK, wife of Harry COOK, both former residents of this community before they moved to Davenport some time ago.
The body will arrive in Fairfield Wednesday morning and will be taken to the Hoskins funeral home where rites will be held Friday. The services will be at 2 p.m. and burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.

Last rites will be Friday afternoon for Mrs. Jennie COOK, former Fairfield resident who passed away Monday at the Mercy hospital at Davenport.
The services will be held at the Hoskins funeral home with Rev. S. P. Williamson in charge. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.
Jennie COOK, 61, was born August 30, 1889, in Arkansas. After her first husband had passed away she was united in marriage to Harry COOK in 1930 at Bloomfield (note: in Davis Co., IA). The family lived in Fairfield until 1937 when they moved to Davenport where Mrs. COOK passed away. She was a member of the Presbyterian church.
Besides her husband, she is survived by three sons, Patrick D. and Terrence E. WOODRUFF, both of Daveport; Dennis D. WOODRUFF, Stockton; and a daughter, Mrs. Arnold HUESER, also of Davenport. Ten grandchildren also survive.
Mrs. COOK was preceded in death by one son and four daughters.
