Floyd T. COLLETT, 69, Jefferson County farmer, died suddenly at 9:15 a.m. today while loading livestock on the family farm on Route 1 approximately 2½ miles northeast of Fairfield. He died of an apparent heart attack.
The body was taken to the Behner Funeral Home where services are pending.

Services for Floyd T. COLLETT, 60, will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at the Behner Funeral Home. The Rev. Kermit Black will officiate and burial will take place in Evergreen Cemetery.
Family visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
COLLETT died suddenly about 9:15 a.m. Wednesday of an apparent heart attack at his-farm (sic) home 2½ miles northeast of Fairfield.
Floyd T. COLLETT was born April 23, 1911, in Otley. He was the son of John and Elizabeth GROENEWOOD COLLETT. His marriage to Aletha ALLEN took place July 31, 1939, in Des Moines.
He was a retired farmer and had lived 26 years in Jefferson County.
COLLETT is surived by his widow; also two sons, Harold, Mount Pleasant, and Harry, Macomb, Ill.; two daughters, Anna SOURWINE, Mount Pleasant, and Jean WHALEY, Mount Pleasant.
Other survivors include a sister, Ethel M. JACKSON, Des Moines; a brother, Ralph E. COLLETT, Hedrick; and 12 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers and one grandson.
