Michael Ray KELLER, 56, of Fairfield, passed away peacefully after a 10-year battle with cancer, surrounded by his family on Sunday, Dec. 20, 2020, in his home. Open visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 23, at Behner Funeral Home. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 23, at Spencer Cemetery with Pastor Dianne Beghtol officiating (note: in Stockport, Van Buren Co., IA).

Memorials may be made to the family and mailed to Sandra KELLER, 2938 239th St., Fairfield, IA 52556.

Michael was born July 31, 1964, in Fairfield to Mark and Twila (JOHNSON) KELLER. Michael graduated from Fairfield High School, Class of 1982. He went to Truman State University, Kirksville, Mo., where he received his associate degree. He married Sandra HOOTMAN on Nov. 25, 1988, in Nashua, Iowa, at the Little Brown Church.

Michael worked at Loudens, Ceco in Mount Pleasant, Air Gas in Fairfield, and retired in 2019 from the City of Fairfield water department because of health issues. He loved spending time with his grandkids and taking care of his family. Michael enjoyed being outside fishing, hunting, farming, attending auctions and taking care of his pigs. He watched all sports, especially the Colts.

He will be missed by his wife, Sandra of Fairfield; his three sons, Jacob (Jen DEUTSCH) KELLER of Fairfield, Jesse (Siera) KELLER of Libertyville and Marshall KELLER of New London; four grandchildren, Alyssa, Blake, Hunter and Sage; his mother, Twila of Fairfield; three siblings, Steve (Kim) KELLER and Phyllis (Dave) FREEMAN, both of Fairfield, and Alan (Kathy) KELLER of Pleasant Hill; and many nieces and nephews.

Michael was preceded in death by his father, Mark KELLER, brother, Billy KELLER; and grandparents, George and Elsie KELLER and Robert and Opal JOHNSON.
