CHAMBERS Rites Set

Jennie L. CHAMBERS, 87, longtime Fairfield resident, died Sunday at 5:07 p.m., at Parkview Care Center. She had been in failing health for several years and seriously ill the last two weeks.

Jennie CHAMBERS was born December 17, 1886 in Fairfield, daughter of John C. and Margaret McWHIRTER McDONALD. She married Joseph E. GORRELL in 1907. He died in 1912.

On Aug. 28, 1920 she married Elmer B. CHAMBERS who preceded her in death Jan. 31, 1961.

Mrs. CHAMBERS was a dressmaker and clerk for over 25 years at Thornes Ladies Ready-to-Wear in Fairfield. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church.

Mrs. CHAMBERS is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Christine HANEY of Fairfield; two grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Margaret CRAIL of Fairfield.

She was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother.

Services will be Tuesday, 10 a.m., at the Weston Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. Jack Weida presiding. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
