DEATH CLAIMS MRS. CAVINESS

Last rites will be Wednesday afternoon for Mrs. Mary CATHEY CAVINESS, 59, Fairfield resident who passed away Sunday evening at the Jefferson county hospital.

Mrs. CAVINESS had been seriously ill for the past 12 weeks and had enterred the hospital the day before. She passed away at 5:45 p.m.

The services will be at the Weston Behner funeral home at 2:00 p.m. tomorrow afternoon with Rev. M. C. CAMPBELL in charge. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.

Mary CATHEY CAVINESS was born January 16, 1891, at Martinsburg, Iowa, the daughter of the late William K. and Permelia WEEKS CATHEY. She was united in marriage at Mt. Pleasant in 1935 to Lloyd CAVINESS who preceded his wife in death on January 4, 1950.

For the past several weeks Mrs. CAVINESS had been residing at the E. R. DONOVAN home, 205 North Sixth street. Mrs. DONOVAN is her sister.

She is survived by an adopted son, DeWayne WOLCOTT, Cedar Rapids; two grandchildren; one brother, Thomas H. CATHEY, Mt. Pleasant; and two sisters, Mrs. Neta DONOVAN and Mrs. Nina MORROW, Fairfield. One brother preceded her in death.
