CAVENEE Rites To Be Saturday

Mrs. W. R. CAVENEE, resident of Fairfield for the past 26 years, passed away at 1:30 a.m. today at the Jefferson county hospital where she had been a patient since Jan. 25.

She had been in failing health for the past year and was taken to the hospital from the family home at 204 S. Maple.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Christian church with the Rev. Lee Davis in charge. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery. The body will be taken from the Raymond funeral home to the church at 1 p.m. on the day of the services.

Mildred M. CAVENEE was born in Henry county, the daughter of Alfred and Charlotte FERGUSON NEWBERG. She was reared and educated in Henry county and was married in May, 1913, to Dr. W. R. CAVENEE. The wedding took place in Mt. Pleasant.

Dr. and Mrs. CAVENEE have made their home in Fairfield for the past 26 years. She was a member of the Christian church.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. CAVENEE is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Juanita SHAW and Mrs. Virginia SMITH, both of Evanston, Ill.; and two sons, Kenneth of Chicago, and Jack of Fairfield.

Five grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Tillie SWAN, Santa Clara, Calif., also survivie (sic).

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and two sisters.

To All Whom It May Concern:

You Are Hereby Notified, That an instrument of writing purporting to be the last Will and Testament of Mildred M. CAVENEE, deceased, dated December 30, 1958 having been this day filed, opened and read. Tuesday the 5th day of March, 1963, is fixed for hearing proof of same at the Court House in Fairfield, Iowa, before the District Court of said County, or the Clerk of said Court; and at 9:30 o'clock a.m. of the day above mentioned all persons interested are hereby notified and required to appear, and show cause if any they have, why said instrument should not be probated and allowed as and for the last Will and Testament of said deceased.

Notice Is Hereby Given, that the undersigned has been duly appointed and qualified as executor of the estate of Mildred CAVENEE deceased, late of Jefferson County. All persons indebted to said estate are requested to make immediate payment, and those having claims against the same will present them within legal time, duly authenticated, for allowance and file in the office of the Clerk of the District Court.
