Mrs. Harry CARY
Mrs. Retta M. CARY passed away Monday, March 23, in St. Louis, Mo., in the St. Louis Baptist hospital following an illness of the past four weeks. The body arrived this morning on No. 3 and was taken to the Hoskins funeral home where services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 1 o'clock in charge of Dr. Gilbert Voorhies of the Presbyterian church. Interment will take place in Evergreen cemetery,
Mrs. CARY is survived by her husband and one daughter, Gertrude. She also leaves her mother, Mrs. Henry ROLAND ,and (sic) the following brothers and sisters, all of whom live southwest of Fairfield: Trebor (sic - Trevor), Guy, Ralph, Ethel, Edith and Mrs. Ross SYLVESTER and also George ROLAND of Batavia.

Retta May CARY
Retta May CARY passed away at the Baptist hospital in St. Louis, Mo., March 23, 1931, at 11 p.m. after an illness of three weeks.
Retta May ROLAND was born in Jefferson county, near Fairfield, Iowa, June 16, 1904, where she lived until her marriage to Harry H. CARY of Sigourney oo (sic) April 13th, 1926. Since her marriage they had made their home in St. Louis.
She is survived by her husband on one (sic) little daughter Gertrude Marie, four years old, whom she adored, also her mother, Mrs. H. C. ROLAND and the following brothers and sisters: Trevor, Ralph, and Mrs. Ross SYLVESTER near Fairfield and George of County Line and Ethel, Edith and Guy at home, also two aged grandmothers and a host of relatives and friends. Her father preceded her in death, March 21, 1930.
Retta was a loving wife and mother and loved by all who knew her.
Funeral services were held at the Hoskins funeral home Thursday at one o'clock in charge of Dr. Gilbert Voorhies of the Presbyterian church.
The casket attendants were Dwight Heston, Floyd Goepel, Orville smith, George Baughner, and Will Beer. Interment was in Evergreen cemetery.
