Note: The second obituary notes burial at Maplewood Cemetery; there is no Maplewood Cemetery in Jefferson County, but there is a Maplewood Memorial Lawn Cemetery in Emporia, KS. Uncertain where the actual burial is, or if the inscription on his parents' monument in Evergreen Cemetery, Fairfield, IA, in Lot Old.P.215 (and accompanying footstone with his initials) is a cenotaph.
