Edgar W. CAMPBELL, Grocer Many Years Ago, Dies In California

Miss Cora BALL has received word of the death of an uncle, Edgar W. CAMPBELL, 83, in Los Angeles, Calif., on October 20. The body will be brought to Fairfield for burial on the CAMPBELL family lot in Evergreen cemetery.

Funeral services were held in Los Angeles on Wednesday.

Mr. CAMPBELL operated a grocery store in the north side of the Fairfield square in company with his brothers Robert and Frank many years ago. About 50 years ago Mr. CAMPBELL moved from this city.

His wife and two children preceded him in death. A brother Frank, of Central City, Neb., survives. The date for the body to arrive here has not been learned.

Note: Buried in Lot Old.P.128. The CA Death Index notes that he was 83 years of age at the time of his death, but his birth year is noted as 1853 on his gravestone. He was a son of John and Eliza CAMPBELL.
