Gertrude DAVIS

Gertrude DAVIS, 99, formerly of Abingdon, died Sunday, June 5, 2005.

A graveside service is scheduled at 1 p.m. Friday at Abingdon Cemetery. A service also will be in Fridley, Minn.

She was the daughter of Frederic Clyde AKER and Maude Ellen HUPP. She married Melvin K. DAVIS.

Mrs. DAVIS made her home in and around the Abingdon area most of her life before moving to Fridley. She lived at Village Green Senior Residence in Fridley for 17 years before making her home with her daughter.

Survivors include two daughters, Lynda LORENZ of Fridley and Karen DeSAI of Ottumwa; one sister, Suzie Belle LENZ of New London; three grandchildren; and two-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sisters, Ruth WHITE and Gracie PETERSON; and one brother, William BAKER.
