Virginia Glassford
June 06, 2005Virginia Ruth Glassford, 80, of rural Lockridge, died at 12:47 a.m. today, Monday, June 6, 2005, at Great River Medical Center in West Burlington.
The funeral is scheduled at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Cedar Creek Friends Church, with the Rev. Don Coffin officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Creek Cemetery.
Family visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at Behner Funeral Home.

Ms. Glassford was born March 28, 1925, in Jefferson County, the daughter of Jay A. and Mabel Anna Trueblood Wilson.
She was a lifelong resident of Lockridge and a graduate of Salem High School.
She was a machine operator at Metro Mail Factory and a waitress at Woody's Restaurant.
She was a member of Cedar Creek Friends Church, Stitch & Chatter Club and Dorcas Society.
Survivors include one son, Jerald Glassford of Kirksville, Mo.; one daughter, Karen Major and husband Randy of Batavia; one sister, Carole Birkholz of Osage; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
