C. S. BYRKIT PASSED AWAY
At His Home In Des Moines; Remains To Be Brought Here Wednesday

C. S. BYRKIT passed away this morning at 10 oclock at his home in Des Moines after having been in very poor health for a long time (note: in Polk Co., IA). The remains will be brought to this city Wednesday noon at 12:01 over the Burlington and will be taken directly to Evergreen cemetery where short services conducted by Dr. U. S. Smith. The body will be intered beside his wife, who was buried here last June following her death from an auto accident.

Mr. BYRKIT is survived by the following children: Mrs. A. L. PRAY and R. D. BYRKIT of Des Moines and Harry BYRKIT of Peoria, Ill.

Mr. BYRKIT's wife was a sister of Mrs. W. E. JOHNSON, 201 East Burlington street.

BYRKIT REMAINS HERE YESTERDAY
Funeral Held In Des Moines Tuesday and Interment At Evergreen

The remains of C. S. BYRKIT, who passed away Monday at his home in Des Moines, were brought to this city yesterday noon and the funeral party went directly to Evergreen cemtery (sic) where interment took place. Dr. U. S. Smith of the First Methodist church conducted short services at the grave. W. E. Harris, Dr. Chester Fordyce, William Wells, W. V. Hughes, J. E. Ireland and Charles Heer acted as pall bearers.

Funeral services were held in Des Moines Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from the Dunn undertaking parlors.

The children, Mrs. A. B. PRAY and Rollin J. BYRKIT of Des Moines and Harry BURKIT of Cleveland, Ohio, accompanied the remains here.
