BRIGHTON, Ia. -- Mrs. Ethel BUTTERY, well known Brighton resident, was found dead at her home in Brighton about 6 p.m. Saturday. Authorities said it appeared as if she had been dead several hours.
Last rites will be Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. (CST) at the Gould funeral home in Brighton with the Rev. Roger Williams in charge. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery at Fairfield.
Ethel Ellen BUTTERY, 79, was born June 12, 1883, at Hillsboro, Iowa, the daughter of William Thomas and Alice Jane CODER JENKINS.
She was married June 14, 1905, to Adelbert BUTTERY, who passed away several years ago.
Mrs. BUTTERY is survived by two sons, Delbert LeRoy, Lisbon, Iowa, and Albert Eugene, Ollie, Iowa. She is also survived by four grandchildren and two sisters Mrs. Galdys BAGBY, Brighton, and Mrs. Laura DOWNARD, Van Wert, Iowa; also two brothers, Walter JENKINS, Brennard (sic - Brainerd?), Minn., and William JENKINS, Alhambra, Calif.
