Page 8, Column 3URIAH BUSH, 93 DIES AT HOME
One of Jefferson county's oldest residents passed away early this morning at his farm home two miles northeast of Fairfield.
He is Uriah BUSH, 93, who had spent his entire life in this community. He passed away about 3 (or 8?) a.m. after a serious illness of the past two weeks.
Last rites will be held Sunday afternoon at 1 p.m. at the Hoskins funeral home. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.
Uriah BUSH was born March 11, 1858, in Jefferson county. He was the son of the late David and Lucinda Jane McCARTY BUSH.
He was united in marriage on Dec. 24, 1883 (sic - 1884) to Ed a McNEELY (sic - MENEELY). She passed away Feb. 3, 1927. Mr. BUSH spent his entire life, which covered almost a full century, in Jefferson county.
He is survived by one daughter and two sons. They are Mrs. H. A. LINN; Charles and Roy BUSH, all of Fairfield. He is also survived by three grandchildren and three great grandchildren; one brother, David BUSH, Fairfield and a sister, Mrs. Mary LOONEY, Creston.
