Obituary--Mrs. Jacob BURRIS.

Mrs. Francis Ann BURRIS, wife of Jacob BURRIS, died in Fairfield, July 29, 1892. Had she lived until August 6th, she would have been 58 years old. Deceased was born in Ohio, August 6, 1834. She came to Iowa with her parents about the year 1839, and was married in Fairfield to Jacob BURRIS September 4, 1851, and has ever since made Fairfield and Jefferson county her home. Four children were born to them, three daughters and one son, all of whom survive her but one daughter, Fidelia Belle, who died in 1880. Deceased had been in ill health for a number of years. Through all her sickness she bore her sufferings with the utmost patience.

Note: Buried in Evergreen Cemetery, Fairfield, IA, in Lot Old.P.100. She was the wife of Jacob BURRIS. He died in 1897 and is buried with her. Frances does not have a gravestone, and there is another unmarked burial on this same lot which may be a child - no dates were given for this person however.
