He Was a Former Fairfield Boy.

The body of Levi Z. BURNETT was buried here yesterday afternoon. He was a son of Mr. and Mrs. John W. BURNETT, now of Ft. Gibson, Indian Terr., was born in this city Nov. 29th, 1881, and left Fairfield with his parents in 1908. He was married to Miss Edith CURRY at Mt. Sterling, Ill., in 1904, and the wife survives him. About six years ago Mr. BURNETT suffered an injury to the knee, which was followed by tuberculosis, and he had steadily failed in health since that time. Perhaps two months ago he was seized with quick consumption, following a severe cold, and succumbed to the disease at Mt. Sterling, Ill., Saturday morning. Mr. BURNETT was a young man of fine character and exemplary habits and had proved himself a capable and successful business man. There are many old friends in this city who will sympathize with the family in its affliction. Funeral services were held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. W. Fordyce. Rev. A. F. Marsh was the minister in charge, and other exercises wer conducted by the local lodge of the Knights of Pythias.
