Otto Frank BURK, 76, of 1107 S. Seventh St., died at 9:30 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 21, 1994, at Jefferson County Hospital.
He was born Feb. 8, 1918, at Trenton, the son of Frank O. and Myrtle MORROW BURK. On Sept. 17, 1936, he married Violet PICKETT in Fairfield.
He served in the Navy during World War II. He worked as a molder for the Dane Company in Ottumwa, Ottumwa Brass Foundry, and retired in 1980 with 30 years employment with Iowa Malleable Iron Co. He also operated a dairy farm for many years near Selma.
Surviving are his wife of Fairfield; two daughters, Petty SEMPF of Trenton and Vickie HOUSH of Mount Pleasant; two sons, Jerry of Ottumwa and Rex of Garfield, Ark.; 17 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Donald; one son, Philip; and one great-grandson.
The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Beatty Funeral Home in Wayland, the Rev. Glen Richard officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Fairfield.
Visitation begins at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the family family receiving friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. A memorial has been established to the Diabetes Association.
