Felix BURK, 76, Taken In Death

Felix BURK, 76, died suddenly Monday night after he was stricken at the Batavia Convalescent Home. He was pronounced dead on arrival at the Jefferson County Hospital.

BURK formerly made his home at East Pleasant Plain. Graveside services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in Evergreen Cemetery with the Rev. Ned Gillum officiating. Military rites will be conducted by the American Legion. The body is at the Behner Funeral Home.

BURK was born Sept. 7, 1894 at Perlee, the son of Joseph and Mary IVORSKI BURK. He was a veteran of World War I and a member of the American Legion.

He is survived by four children: Robert BURK, Germany; Richard BURK, California; Kenneth BURK, Dunlap, Tenn.; and Mrs. Mary ORTON, Chattanooga, Tenn.

Nine grandchildren and the following sisters also survive: Mrs. Josephine JAYCE, Chicago; Mrs. Bertha SAMUEL, Lansing, Minn.; Mrs. Ted VON BUENING, Sioux City; and Mrs. Eva HENCRICKS, Fairfield.

Four brothers and three sisters are deceased.
