BUCKNER Infant Dead.

The seven months old baby boy of Mr. and Mrs. Ed BUCKNER, who reside on West Kirkwood street, died yesterday afternoon after a short illness of whooping cough.

Mr. BUCKNER and family are a colored family who recently moved to this city from Keosauqua. They are therefore almost strangers in Fairfield. Another child is quite ill with the same disease.

The funeral was held this afternoon at three o'clock from the home. Rev. Stovall of the African Methodist Episcopal church conducted the last services and the remains were laid to rest in Evergreen cemetery. Much sympathy is expressed for the family in their trouble.
