Florence J. BRYANT dies

Florence J. BRYANT, 88, Parkview Care Center, died at 5:55 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 11, 1988.

The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Raymond Funeral Home with the Rev. Clair Odell officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

Mrs. BRYANT was born Jan. 22, 1900, in Troy, N.Y., the daughter of Jacob and Mary Louise RUTH SCHAIBLE. She grew up in Troy and graduated from the Troy High School. She lived in the Troy community until 1925 when she moved to Lombard, Ill., where she lived for 10 years. She lived in New York City before moving to Fairfield in 1958.

Mrs. BRYANT worked as a clerk for Western Union. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the Philathea Class.

On April 20, 1935, she married Vernon Algin BRYANT at Troy, N.Y. He died Nov. 21, 1977.

Mrs. BRYANT is survived by three nephews, Gilbert HEWITT of Cedar Falls and John HEWITT of Columbia, Mo., both former Fairfield residents, and George SCHAIBLE of Amboy, Ill.
