Page SEVEN, Column 7REV. G. G. BRUCE DIES SUDDENLY
Mrs. A. S. McPHERSON, 608 East Burlington, received word today of the death of her brother-in-law, Rev. George G. BRUCE, who passed away suddenly this morning at his home in Oskaloosa.
Rev. BRUCE, about 70, had been a members (sic) of the board of trustees at Parsons college since 1933, and was a graduate with the class of 1900. He was a retired Presbyterian minister and had been supply pastor at the Hedrick church for the past two years.
His wife, the former Elizabeth DAVIES, a graduate of Parsons college with the class of 1899, is a sister of Mrs. McPHERSON.
Interment will be in Evergreen cemetery. Arrangements for funeral services are not yet complete.

Page EIGHT, Column 4RITES FRIDAY FOR DR. BRUCE
Funeral services for Dr. George G. BRUCE, Parsons college trustee, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday in Oskaloosa. Dr. BRUCE died suddenly yesterday morning following a heart attack. Interment will be in Evergreen cemetery here, with short services at the grave side.
At the time of his retirement in 1938, Dr. BRUCE had served in the Presbyterian ministry for 35 years, twelve of these years spent in Alaska. During 1918-1919 he was moderator of the Synod of Washington. Since his retirement he has served as supply pastor in the Hedrick Presbyterian church.
Born February 10, 1873 at Walton, N. Y., he moved to Iowa as a youth and attended Garden Grove schools and Parsons college. He received his ministerial degree from the San Francisco Theological Seminary at San Anselmo, Calif.
He was married to Miss Elizabeth DAVIES at Fairfield, May 14, 1903. She, with five brothers and two sisters survive him. They are R. Wallace BRUCE, New York City; Mrs. Bess M. BEARD, St. Joseph, Mo.; Edward A. BRUCE, St. Joseph, Mo.; Capt. Bryson BRUCE, U. S. N. Head of Engineers Division, Naval Academy, Annapolis, Md.; Mrs. Mary B. WEISER, Ames, Ia.; David Rex BRUCE, St. Joseph, Mo.; and J. H. BRUCE, Omaha, Neb.
