Mrs. Harvey L. BROWN died at her home on East Burlington street shortly after eight o'clock Thursday evening after an extended illness of several months duration. For the past week she has been very low and the coming of death was not unexpected.
Margaret A. JORDAN-BROWN was born March 4th, on Cape Elizabeth Maine, where she grew to young woman hood. In April, 1877 she was married to Harvey L. BROWN. Mr. and Mrs. BROWN soon after their marriage came to Fairfield where they have since resided. Three children were born to thlem (sic), a daughter Winafred who has preceeded (sic) her mother in death, and two sons, Clifford A. and Herold L., who with their father survive her.
Mrs. E. J. SKILLIS of Oak Park, Ill., and Mrs. A. S. JORDAN were with their sister during her last illness.
Mrs. BROWN had been a member of the Congregational church for a number of years. In the church and among her large circle of friends Mrs. BROWN's gentle disposition and sweet christian character have exerted more than ordinary influences.
The funeral service will be held Saturday afternoon at 2:30 at the residence and the remains will be laid to rest in Evergreen cemetery. Rev. Graves of the Congregational church will have charge of the services.
