FRANK BROWN DIES AT HOME

Frank A. BROWN, 69, retired railroad employee, passed away Monday at 5:30 p.m. at his home, 603 West Burlington street. His death was caused by a heart ailment. He had been in poor health for several years and seriously ill the past week.

Last rites will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Hoskins funeral home in charge of Dr. L. H. Scheerer. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.

Frank Arden BROWN was born August 7, 1877, at Letts, Iowa, the son of the late Frank and Mary PARSONS BROWN. He was married to Katherine COOK and has lived in Fairfield for the past several years.

He began as a railroad employee 44 years ago, and for 36 years was employed by the Rock Island. He served as agent and telegrapher, most of that time in this city. He retired four years ago but maintained his membership in the Order of Railroad Telegraphers.

Mr. BROWN is survived by his wife and one step-brother, Glen BROWN, Seattle, Washington.
