DEATH CLAIMS LOCAL WOMAN

Death came this morning to a well known resident of Fairfield. She is Mrs. Fannie HARRIS BROWN, 70, who spent her entire life in this community.

Mrs. BROWN passed away at 6:15 a.m. today at the Jefferson county hospital after a serious illness of the past several months. Her home is at 609 N. Fourth street.

Last rites will be Monday at 2:30 p.m. at the Weston Behner funeral home with the Rev. Frederic McNeil of the St. Michael Episcopal church at Mt. Pleasant in charge. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.

Fannie HARRIS BROWN was born November 13, 1878, in Fairfield and lived her entire life in this city. She was the daughter of the late Thomas T. and Elizabeth JONES HARRIS.

She was united in marriage on March 14, 1906, to William A. BROWN who preceded his wife in death on July 6, 1946. Mrs. BROWN was a member of the Royal Neighbors.

She is survived by one son, Charles C. BROWN, Richland, Iowa; and a daughter, Kathryn BROWN, at home. Other survivors include a sister, Margaret HARRIS, Fairfield, and a brother, Tom W. HARRIS, Upland, California. Five sisters preceded her in death.

OUT OF TOWN RELATIVES ATTEND BROWN FUNERAL

Several out of town relatives attended the funeral services yesterday of Mrs. Fannie HARRIS BROWN who passed away Saturday.

They are Mr. and Mrs. Dean BROWN, brother of William BROWN, Mrs. Dale GERDES, and Mrs. Roy BROWN, all of Peoria, Illinois; Mr. and Mrs. Ed DIETLIN of Burlington; Mrs. Herbert JONES of Mt. Pleasant, and Mrs. Elza FITCH of Richland.
