Illness Fatal To Mrs. Carrie BROWN

Mrs. Carrie Jane BROWN, 81, 106 West Hempstead died Wednesday at 1 a.m. at her home following an extended illness. She has been in poor health since July and in critical condition since last Thursday.

Carrie Jane RIZOR was born April 22, 1877 near Glendale. She was the daughter of Ely and Francis HICKENBOTTOM RIZOR. She was married April 24, 1893 to James William BROWN at her home near Glendale.

She was a member of the Methodist church, Rebekah lodge No. 96 and Rowena Circle.

She was preceded in death by her husband July 3, 1930. One son and one brother also preceded her in death.

Mrs. BROWN is survived by three daughters: Mrs. Marian ABBEY, West Palm Beach, Fla.; Mrs. Sybil MITCHELL, Fairfield; and Mrs. Blanche RODGERS of Shenandoah. Seven granddaughter and 13 great grandchildren also survive her.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at the Hoskins Funeral home. Dr. J. Henry Teele will have the services with interment in Evergreen cemetery.

REBEKAHS TO ATTEND RITES FOR MRS. BROWN

All Rebekahs are to meet Saturday at 12:45 p.m. at the Hoskins funeral home to attend services for Mrs. Carrie BROWN. Services will be held at the funeral home at 1 o'clock. Mrs. BROWN, 81, died Wednesday at her home following an extended illness.
