Walter L. BROCK Taken In Death

Walter Lloyd BROCK, 87, 1100 W. Briggs, died Saturday at 9:35 p.m. at the Jefferson County Hospital. A patient at the Fairfield convalescent Home since May on 1967, he was admitted to the hospital earlier in the day.

Services will be held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Raymond Funeral Home with the Rev. Ned Gillum officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

BROCK was employed at the Louden Machinery Co. for many years. He operated a truck garden following his retirement.

He was born Oct. 23, 1883 at Council Bluffs, the son of John and Mary Lucina NELSON BROCK. He was reared and educated at Galesburg, Ill.

BROCK was married to Clara Belle RAINS May 29, 1910. Surviving are his widow and three daughters: Mrs. Ray MORRILL and Mrs. Robert BARBER, both of Fairfield; and Mrs. Jack DALEY, Cupertino, Calif. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

BROCK was a member of the First Christian Church. Three sisters and one brother preceded him in death.

BROCK Relatives At Last Rites

Mrs. Jack DALEY left Saturday afternoon for her home in Cupertino, Calif., after being called here by the death of her father, Walter BROCK, 87. Last rites were Tuesday afternoon.

Mrs. DALEY was the house-guest of her sister, Mrs. Ray MORRILL and Mr. MORRILL, 504 South B, and was taken to the Des Moines airport by the MORRILLs.

Ruth MORRILL, honors student at Drew University in Madison, N.J., was unable to secure a flight to attend services due to the weather-canceled flights.

Other relatives from out of town on Tuesday were Mr. and Mrs. Raymond RAINS of Washington, and Mr. and Mrs. Raymond POGEMILLER of Libertyville.
