Page 2, Column 4CHILD DIES AFTER FIVE DAYS ILLNESS
One of the saddest deaths which has occurred near this city for some time was that of John S. BRAWNER, the nine year old son of Mr. and Mrs .Charles L. BRAWNER, which occurred this morning about 2:30 o'clock at his home about five miles west of this city. His death was due to a complication of diseases and his illness was of only five days' duration.
Last Wednesday the child came home from school and complained of being ill. A physician was called and although the lad was known to be quite ill his condition was not regarded as serious. He did not seem to suffer much until Sunday afternoon when his condition changed and he grew rapidly worse until the death angel called him this morning.
John S. BRAWNER was born on December 24, 1901, and had always enjoyed excellent health until a few days ago. He is survived by his parents, one brother Galen and sister Anna. The funeral will be held Wednesday morning.
