Donald L. BRANAM, 64, died suddenly at 3 a.m. today at the Jefferson County Hospital. He was admitted to the hospital a short time earlier after being stricken with a heart attack at his home at 500 E. Lowe.
Services are pending at the Behner Funeral Home.
BRANAM was manager of the Flamingo Lanes bowling alley. He had been a resident of Fairfield since July, 1969, moving here from Paris, Ill.
BRANAM was born March 3, 1914 in Rosedale, Ind., the son of John and Flora MICHAELS BRANAM. He was married Aug. 2, 1946 to Betty J. BRAND.
He was a veteran of World War II, serving as a first sergeant in the U.S. Army in Europe. He was a member of the American Legion, Masonic Lodge, Elks Lodge and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Surviving are his wife and two sons, Michael BRANAM and David BRANAM, both of Fairfield. Also surviving are a brother, Charles, BRANAM, Houston, Tex.; and two sisters, Marie CATHCART, Cody, Wyo.; and Lia DICKEY, Indianapolis, Ind.

Services for Donald L. BRANAM, who died Monday, will be Thursday, 2 p.m., at Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. Wayne Bartruff officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery with military rites by the VFW.
The body will lie in state Wednesday at the funeral home. Visitation will be Wednesday, 7 to 8 p.m.
