WASHINGTON, Ia.--Mrs. Edith Pearl BOYER, 67, died at the Washington County hospital after an illness of five years.
Services will be held Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at the Jones Funeral home in charge of the Rev. Richard Peterson. Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. in Evergreen cemetery at Fairfield.
Mrs. BOYER had been a resident of Washington for 15 years. She was born June 14, 1894 at Covington, Ind., the daughter of James O. and Ella Jane HOLMES SALTS.
She was married to William BOYER Dec. 20, 1946. Surviving are her husband and the following children: Orville TOMPKINS, Phoenix, Ariz.; Mrs. Ella McCUMBER, Wichita, Kan.; and Mrs. Irene BATES, Fort Knox, Ky. Also surviving are seven grandchildren and two brothers, Ralph SALTS, Fairfield; and Stanley SALTS, Eldon.
Mrs. BOYER was a member of the Baptist church.

Graveside services were held here this afternoon for Mrs. Edith BOYER, former resident of Fairfield who died at the Washington county hospital after an illness of five years.
The services here were held at 1:30 p.m. at Evergreen cemetery. Services were also held this morning at 10:30 a.m. at the Jones funeral home with the Rev. Richard Peterson in charge.
Mrs. BOYER will be remembered here as the former Mrs. Pearl TOMPKINS. She made her home in this community for a number of years until her marriage in 1946 to William BOYER of Washington. She had made her home in Washington since then.
Mrs. BOYER, 67, is survived by her husband and the following children: Orville TOMPKINS, Phoeniz, Ariz. (sic); Mss. Ella McCUMBER, Wichita, Kan.; and Mrs. Irene BATES, Fort Knox, Ky.
She is also survived by seven grandchildren and three brothers, Ralph and Forest SALTS, both of Fairfield; and Stanley SALTS, Eldon.
