F. BOWER Rites Set

Floyd A. BOWER, 82, longtime Fairfield resident, died at 10:55 p.m. Sunday at the Parkview Care Center. He had been seriously ill the past two weeks and in failing health the past two years.

Funeral services have been set for 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 6, at the Weston Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. Lynn Bergfalk in charge. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

Floyd A. BOWER was born May 24, 1892, in Keokuk County, the son of August and Louise FIXMER BOWER. He was married Feb. 25, 1914, to Eva M. ANDERSON.

A retired farmer, he had lived in the Fairfield Community for over 53 years. The family home is at 305 E. Kirkwood. BOWER was a member of the Eagles Lodge (sic - Aerie/Club).

In addition to his widow, he is survived by three daughters, Kathryn ALLENDER, Fairfield; Charlotte STEELE, Bloomfield; and Mrs. Henry ROLAND, Washington; one son, Lester BOWER, New Glarus, Wis.; nine grandchildren and ten great grandchildren; two brothers, Walter, Keota, and Clarence, Sigourney. He was preceded in death by one son and one brother.

A memorial to the Cancer Fund has been established.
