OBITUARY

GLENN ROBERT BONNETT

Glenn Robert BONNETT was born August 3, 1908, southwest of Libertyville, Iowa, and was reared in this community. He attended school and later was associated with the BONNETT coal ine.

On July 2, 1934, he was united in marriage to Evelyn FERREL, and they lived very happily during their short time of married life in the home which he had worked and prepared for himself and his devoted wife.

Glenn was a lad especially devoted to his mother seeking her guidance and helping her. He was kind, and cheerful and his ready smile made for him hosts of friends who shall greatly m iss him. We know not sorrow until it has taken from us one in the very prime of life, thus shattering all the bright dreams of their future and leaving behind a place which cannot be filled.

We gave him unto God's care and thank him for granting us the privilege of knowing him and having his young man.

He was called from this world following an accident in his father's coal mine about 11:00 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 14, 1935, at the age of 26 years, 7 months and 11 days. Left to mourn his passing are his beloved wife, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ed BONNETT, five brothers, John, Carl, Edward, Russel and Raymond. Three sisters Mrs. Ercel FRY of Mendon, Mo., Mrs. Myrtle CARMICHAEL of the neighborhood, and Birdie at home. Besides other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at the Hoskins Funeral Home, Monday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock, services being conducted by Dr. H. C. Whiting. The three songs sang were "The Old Rugged Cross," "Jesus Lover of My Soul," and "Going Down the Valley." The pallbearers were Harry Kracht, Frank Teller, Lawrence Roach, Howard Gridley, Jess Crouse and Dan Thomason. The boy was laid to rest in the Evergreen cemetery.
