RUN OVER BY A TRUCK AND DIES
Robert BONNELL, Son Of Dr. and Mrs. BONNELL, Lived Hour After Accident

Falling under a dray truck on which he had been riding this morning at 11 oclock, Robert BONNELL, the 11 year old son of Dr. and Mrs. F. S. BONNELL was run over and died at the Jefferson County hospital about an hour later. The heavy truck had crushed his ribs and they had pierced his lungs making internal hemorrhages. His collar bone was also broken.

Bobby, as he was familiarly called, had been riding on the loaded truck in company with his friend Jack Slattery, and as the truck was turning the corner at Sixth and Depot street, he either fell or jumped off from the back end. He attempted to climb back on again by catching at the side of the truck and fell in such a way that the hind wheel passed over his body. He was immediately rushed to the hospital where it was found his condition was serious. He is survived by his parents and a sister, Ruth, who is 9 years old.

Bobby was one of the nicest and most likeable boys in Fairfield. Always pleasant and friendly, active and full of life, he had an unusually number of friends among the older people. They, as well as his little playmates, will miss him greatly and their sympathy goes out to his parents who have suffered so greivous a loss.

The final arrangements have not been made at this time.
