Good Cheer Society In Anniversary Meet

The anniversary meetings of the Beckwith Good Cheer Society was well attended although unfavorable weather kept some away. The dinner was served cafeteria style.

At the business meeting it was voted that Mrs. Pearl Clapp and Mrs. Alva Cummings as the two charter members, write resolutions of respect for Mrs. Eva BLOUGH, who was also a charter member. Interesting letters were read from former members Mrs. Rosa Johnson of California, and Mrs. Mary A. Frame of the West. Many other greetings were received. A silver offering was taken for the orphans' home.

Following the business meeting, a program was presented. Mrs. Mack Bailey played two guitar solos, and readings were given by Mrs. G. T. McKee and Shirley Messer. Edith Joyce Ogden sang, and the history of the Good Cheer Society was told by Mrs. Alva Cummings.

The May meeting will be with Mrs. Emma Lenhart.
