Page SIX, Column 8Short Services For Minnie BLOSS Held At Cemetery Yesterday
A small company of friends assembled Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at Evergreen cemetery to attend the last service of Mrs. Minnie BLOSS, a well known former resident whose death occurred Sunday in Ottumwa after an illness of some time.
Mrs. BLOSS was without close relatives although several distant relatives and many friends survive.
She owned the BLOSS Homestead on the corner of B and Hempstead streets several years ago. After disposing of it she moved away from Fairfield.

Minnie Maude BLOSS, daughter of Mrs. Emma SHAFFER ACKLEY, was born in Clark County, Mo., on February 22, 1868, and passed way (sic) in Ottumwa, Ia., August 15, 1942, at the age of 74 years, 4 mo. and 24 days. Her early life was spent in Keokuk, Ia., where she was united in marriage to Harry BLOSS on May 21, 1897. Later she moved to Colorado, and Mr. BLOSS passed away in Denver, Colorado, in October, 1908.
Mrs. BLOSS and her mother, Mrs. Emma ACKLEY moved to Fairfield, Ia., to care for Mr. BLOSS's mother, Mrs. William BLOSS, where she spent the rest of her life with the exception of a few years spent in Ottumwa. She was a member of the Methodist Church of Fairfield several years before going to Ottumwa.
Her mother, her husband, and his mother preceded her in death. She leaves one cousin, Mrs. Sadie HEATH of Clark County, Mo, and many friends.
Funeral services and burial were held Aug. 18 at the Evergreen cemetery in charge of Rev. F. M. James.
