Mrs. Mahala BLICK, wife of Robert L. BLICK, died suddenly late yesterday afternoon at her home eight miles south of Washington on the Wayland road, her death being the result of a heart attack.
Funeral services will be held at 11 o'clock Thursday morning at the Washington Christian church, in charge of the pastor, Rev. Ivan Riess. She was a member of the Christian church at Fairfield. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery at Fairfield. Arrangements are in charge of the L. A. Jones funeral home.
Mrs. BLICK was a daughter of James Caleb and Mary Jane (BARNETT) REAMS, and was born August 7, 1880 (sic - 1879), at London, Kentucky. Her home was in Kentucky until she was 30 years old, when she moved to Illinois and later to the Keota, Iowa, community. She was married March 27, 1941, at Kahoka, Mo., to Robert L. BLICK. They had lived on the farm south of town since September, 1942.
Surviving her are her husband, Robert Lee BLICK; one daughter by a former marriage, Mrs. Stella HOWARD of California; five sisters, Mrs. Docia Hazel WOOD of Hamilton, Ohio, Mrs. Lizzy STRINGER of London, Ky., Mrs. Sarah METCALF of Lockridge, Iowa, Mrs. Retta GARLAND of Morning Sun, Iowa, Mrs. Viola LAUGHTHAN of Mt. Pleasant, Iowa; two brothers, Bartlett REAMS and Mack REAMS of London, Ky., and two grandsons.

Funeral services for Mahalia KURTZ BLICK, who passed away suddenly Monday at her home in Wayland, will be held at the Christian church in Washington, Iowa, at 11 o'clock Thursday morning.
Burial will take place around 1:30 o'clock Thursday afternoon at the Evergreen cemetery in Fairfield.

Mahala REAMS BLICK, wife of Robert BLICK, aged 63 died suddenly following a heart attack. They lived eight miles south of town. She was twice married. She and Mr. BLICK were married in 1941. Her husband, a daughter and five sisters survive.

BLICKENSDERFER (who went by BLICK) is buried in Washington Co., IA. Mahala was born in 1879, as she is found in the 1880 census of Laurel Co., KY, as a 10-month-old; that census was taken in June, 1880. Her death certificate lists her last name as BLICKENSDERFER, but her husband who was the informant signed his name as Robert BLICK. She is on the same gravestone as her first husband, Benj. FROTZ; second husband Martin KURTZ is buried on the same lot, but without a gravestone.
