Death of Mrs. Rachel BIRDSALL (sic).

A short time before noon to-day Mrs. Rachel BIRDSALL died at her home in this city. She had been confined to her bed for over three weeks with pneumonia and her death resulted from this disease. She had been in poor health ever since having an attack of the grip several years ago and all this fall and winter has been gradually weakening. Mrs. BIRDSALL was about sixty-seven years old and forty of those years have been spent in this city. Her son, J. C. BIRDSALL, of Alliance, Nebraska, was here the latter part of last week, but as she seemed much improved he returned home Monday night of this week. He will arrive here again to-morrow night and arrangements will then be made for the funeral. There is one other child living, a daughter, who is married and whose home is in Milford, Illinois. Whether or not she will be present for the funeral is not known.
